Frequently Asked Questions

Getting started

How do I schedule a consult call?
You can easily request a free consultation call by filling out the contact form on my website or reaching out via email.
This is a brief conversation to discuss what brings you to therapy, answer any initial questions you have, and determine if my approach is a good fit for your needs.

I offer both virtual telehealth sessions and in-person appointments to best accommodate your schedule and comfort level.

I primarily work with adults aged 18 and older.

My practice focuses heavily on individual therapy, though I can provide referrals for couples or family counselors if needed.

The initial intake session is about getting to know you comprehensively. We will review your background, discuss your current challenges, and collaboratively outline your goals for our work together.
Sessions are collaborative, supportive dialogues. We will explore your thoughts and feelings, process past experiences, and build actionable coping strategies tailored to your goals in a safe, non-judgmental space.

Confidentiality and Your Rights

Are there limits to confidentiality?
Yes. While therapy is strictly confidential, I am legally and ethically required to break confidentiality if there is suspected abuse of a child or vulnerable adult, or if you pose an imminent risk of severe harm to yourself or someone else.
Your records are securely stored and can only be accessed by me, unless you provide written consent for a release or they are subpoenaed by a court of law.
Absolutely. You have the right to seek a second opinion from another mental health professional at any time to ensure you are receiving the best possible care.

If you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency or a mental health crisis, please dial 911, go to your nearest emergency room, or call the National Suicide and Crisis Lifeline at 988.

Insurance and Payment

Do you accept insurance?

I am in-network with select insurance providers. Please check the website or contact me directly with your insurance information to verify coverage.

My standard rate for a private pay session is $___ per 50-minute appointment.

Yes. Under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining how much your non-emergency medical care, including therapy, will cost.
Yes, if you have out-of-network benefits, I can provide a monthly superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement.
Please notify me immediately if your insurance coverage changes so we can verify your new benefits and avoid any unexpected out-of-pocket costs.

The initial intake session is about getting to know you comprehensively. We will review your background, discuss your current challenges, and collaboratively outline your goals for our work together.

At this time, I do not accept Medicaid.

Scheduling and Cancellations

How do I schedule an appointment?
You can schedule appointments directly through the online client portal or by contacting me at the end of our sessions.

I require a 24-hour notice for any cancellations. Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice, or no-shows, will be charged the full session fee.

If you are ill, please let me know as soon as possible. We can either switch our session to a virtual telehealth appointment or reschedule to prioritize your recovery.
We will use the remainder of our scheduled time, but the session will still end at the originally scheduled time. Full session fees apply regardless of late arrivals.
